...As a Speech-Language Therapist, I work with students who are hard of hearing. ASL is my foreign language and, while I am not fluent, I am sufficiently able to support spoken language with ASL in order to effectively communicate. Through tests taken at an employment agency many moons ago, and continued extensive use of the its various applications, I am considered "proficient".
