...My first phonics student was a native Spanish speaker. She especially liked the vowel drills because they allowed her to concentrate on their pronunciation in English which is very different from Spanish. The basic idea is simple: there are only a certain number of sounds letters can make- 44 to be exact.

I have experience teaching Latin at the high school level. I am patient and very detailed in my teaching approach. I tend to teach in a traditional method in which students learn a great deal of grammar but I enjoy using games and different resources to teach.
