...While in Japan, I taught English to Japanese students of various ages. Through this experience I was able to understand the unique difficulties of learning English from a Japanese perspective. When teaching English to a non-native speaker, I try to remain aware of my student’s linguistic background.

...My math has extended all the way to calculus 3 and differential equations. My experience in science extends to upper level physics classes and entry level chemistry. As for computer science I have had the first level of every one of our major classes so I can assist in that in the most commonly used languages and ideas today.

...My strategy is to draw pictures and make math visual--a plus for boys and those visually oriented. Few teachers use this method, but it works!!! My 5 years of experience teaching math give me a solid foundation to teach Pre-Algebra. I love books and reading.
