We will take breaks when needed to keep the student focused and will work on keeping the mind alert. I will use sounds to refocus the student- for example gently tapping on the desk/table to refocus the eyes.

I used to teach Yoga and Meditation to Youth Inmates in Juvenile Halls, where I saw so many young prisoners transform themselves before my eyes.
