Their levels of English proficiency have varied, and some have been very shy about practicing. With some students we studied specifically for the TOEFL, and with others we worked on English homework for class or else merely practiced conversing, reading, and pronouncing words informally.

...For the younger students who are just learning how to read; I can tutor students phonics, how to sound out the letters, and then sound out the words, and then how to read a complete sentence. I enjoy reading stories aloud to students and I will engage in a reading exercise with them. I personally enjoy reading and I want to open a whole new world for students, so they can enjoy books too.
