I have spent the last two years working at a junior high school in Tijuana, Mexico. I am a WA State certified teacher with endorsements in ESL and Elementary Education. I am mainly looking to tutor ESL students but I will also tutor for math, reading, writing, science and history.

I am a mother of four children, all currently under the age of twelve. Before I became a mother, I was a high school science teacher for five years. During this time, although not at the same time, I taught physical science, fundamental chemistry, advanced biology (with a lab practical), physics, earth science, and life science.

...I just got back from teaching kindergarten in Thailand. It was an international school so I had four different nationalities in my class. Over the year, they all became fluent in the English language, learned how to read simple words, and write in the English language.

...When you combine these various strategies, I have a lot to offer students who have trouble keeping themselves organized. The three-year training I took to learn Alphabet Phonics included multiple strategies to teach kids with many different disorders. Specifically, I have accommodations for dysgraphia and ADHD.

...When I work with students, I really try to help students understand their goals. If goals are unclear, then we work together to make clear what needs to be accomplished. I work just as hard as my students and I do give homework.
