...Vocabulary is the basis of all academic success, even in math at the higher levels. The wider a range of words students have to chose from, the greater their potential. An excellent essay in any discipline only emerges when a student has a full understanding of the minute differences between words with similar meanings, but widely ranging historical and intellectual implications.
