Thought I heard a latinate “comunar” at the end, but the rest was fairly strange: I guess Romanian.

Basque isn’t it? Did I hear “Ongi etorri” (Welcome) at the beginning?

Yep, it’s Basque. It’s not “comunar” at the end but instead “Non dago komunak?” (”Where is the bathroom?”).

The answer is Basque. Here is a transcription and translation of the phrases:
Ongi etorri! (Welcome!)
Urte askotarako (Pleased to meet you)
Kaixo (Hello)
Amaia dut izena (My name is Amaia)
Badakizu ingelesez hitz egiten? (Do you speak English?)
Laguntza behar dut (I need help)
Non daude komunak? (Where is the toilet, please?)
Lillian - unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any online Somali lessons.
