...I taught ESL as a bilingual teacher for San Jose Unified School District for 15 years. I also designed and taught an ESL program at a small resource center in Felton. As a teacher I used Macintosh computers exclusively in my classrooms.

...I completed all the coursework for a Masters in Special Education at Santa Clara University. The University allowed me to modify the curriculum focusing on respite care rather than conventional classroom teaching. Beginning with respite care 20 years ago, I have worked individually and in group settings like inclusive care homes with a wide variety of special needs clients.

...I've lived on and off in Brazil since 1994 and possess a certificate in Portuguese language. I also lived in Austria and Germany and possess a double Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and German, as well as a Master’s degree in German. I've taught Portuguese in the U.S., English in Europe and South America, and was a German instructor for 12 years at the University of Hawaii.
