...How I Learned Portuguese:
I took two semesters of intensive Portuguese in college and then lived in Belo Horizonte, Brasil, for 6 months. I lived with a host family and all of my classes were in Portuguese, so my language abilities grew by leaps and bounds while I was there. Many of the ESL students I teach are Brazilian, so I occasionally get to practice my Portuguese with them.
