...I was born and raised in Israel. I moved to the United States 11 years ago, finished high school, went to college, and am now completing my master's. I have been tutoring Hebrew at different Jewish schools in my area for the past 4 years, and teach young children, teens, as well as adults.

...I think teaching one-on-one is very effective, and I don't give up until the student can do it one their own. I know that it is sometimes difficult to get excited about a particular math concept, especially when you don't think you will need it down the road. Chances are that you won't.

...I also was a Little League umpire in two leagues for the children of two of my coworkers in Lancaster County. One of my other hobbies is following the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team on a daily basis. I was a volunteer for a couple months with a Lancaster County literacy project during the early 1990s.
