...For example, memorizing that you use an apostrophe in words like "can't" and "won't" is not enough. Students that understand WHY we use an apostrophe in those situations are the ones who will properly use apostrophes in their writing. I make sure that my lessons touch a topic from all angles and therefore foster student growth and success.
