...I also attended the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages conference in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1994. I taught for three years as an assistant teacher in the English as a Second Language program at the Emily Griffith Opportunity School, here in Denver, Colorado. I monitored the students' progress in vocabulary and grammar.
