I have been teaching foreign language for over 20 years to students ranging from preschool to adult. I currently teach several different levels of Spanish at a high school in the valley. I have experience using a variety of teaching methods in order for a student to be successful in a foreign language.

I spent eight years in the Air Force as a Spanish Linguist, I am proficient in Spanish and a variety of other subjects. During my time in the military I went to several seminars and classes on how to train other people. I spent a majority of my time training others on programs that I developed and tested.

...I worked for 17 years in a think tank government institution (Curitiba City, Parana State, Brazil) developing projects toward sustainability. I produced, directed, filmed and edited many short documentary videos of different projects being conducted in my previous company. I also have academic experience teaching microbiology, water quality, and Sustainable Development disciplines.

...While I was a graduate student, I tutored a Chinese PhD professor of statistics in English pronunciation. When I was first hired by Greece Central School District, I was a full time tutor for 2 young men who came to the U.S. from Burma. I worked with them directly for 5 months, building basic English and academic English skills.

Also, I can help with home school moms on how to use better reading or math approaches for their special needs child. I will work with multi-modal sensory methods to achieve student's learning goals of grade level material.
