Los Angeles or simply L.A is the second largest city in the country-region on United States. With a population of around 3.8 million people and an area of about 498 square miles its the largest city in the state of place on California. Los Angeles experiences a Mediterranean type of climate with wet winters and warm to hot and humid summers. The weather is more or less dry throughout the year but the winter months are cool. Rain occurs mainly in the winter and spring season. Snow is quite a rare experience in the city area but its expected in the mountain slopes every year. Los Angeles is a home to many religions. The city has more then 100 Christian denominations of which Roman Catholicism is the largest. Los Angeles city is the home for the largest Jewish population in the place on United States.

The city of Los Angeles place suffers badly from air pollution which is in the form of smog. The main problem is that the city receives only around 15 inches of rainfall which is not enough to clear the smog and so the smog gets accumulated over consecutive days. But in recent years the pollution level has dropped because of the initiative taken by the state of California place to explore low emission vehicles.
