Man is one such social animal who likes to enjoy all better things in life. He has often played with science and has created many toys that he uses to kill his boredom. The standard of living of people today has increased so much that we will to experience all the lighter sides of life at any cost. Though our day today life is busy, it is a must to relieve ourselves by taking a break from the daily mechanical fizzy life & spend some time relaxing. It is advised even on medical grounds that we need to append at least half an hour in a day just relaxing ourselves, however relaxing may be any activity that relishes us & makes our mind bit free thus providing time for the brain & nervous system to relax for a while calmly. The speed of life today is so high that people spend more time in office digging their files, than spend quality time with their family. There are hardly very few activities in our daily life that the masses on whole enjoy a lot as common. But if we make a list, the top five answers would surely contain driving and music. In fact, driving and music are only two activities to be ever known that are too radically different from one another but still, blend very well with each other! People have discovered that playing music of their choice while driving not only relieves them of pressure or tension, but also proves to be a mode of spiritual calming. Though the history of blending car driving with music routes long back in 1885 when the Americans started playing their gramophone in their Ford Model T car while driving around the streets, it was not long before the same was followed in other parts like Europe, Asia & Australia. Surprisingly, people every where around the globe found it a very nice practice to enjoy music while driving & thus this factor gained more importance among car manufacturers. While the manufacturers looked at it as a matter of ?feature of the car?, the electronic gadgetry manufacturers saw it as a platform to establish a very huge potential market. Thus in no time, the car manufacturers and the audio player manufacturers joined hands together & hence cars that were manufactured all around the globe were given a additional feather to their hats- the car audio system.
Though the early audio systems were mere radio sets that often used to loose signals while on long transit, it was not too late when the car cassette players were introduced. Thanks to Toyota of Japan, as they were the pioneers to bring in this innovation. Then came the era in the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century, where more and more people started preferring audio systems in their cars that had an AM ? FM ? radio receiver, and also a cassette player matched with nice pair of two or three audio speakers.
As the technology started to evolve, newer things came into the IT segment. Due to the availability of cheaper yet effective electronic components the costs of the electronic gadgets started to see a decline. All this was a package that would relish anyone and to top it. This was instantly a boom in the market and the customers were thronging for these the next day after launch. Soon, this master piece was available all around the globe, and the car manufacturers started installing these as factory fit accessory in their brands.
The technology of automobiles too was not far behind by now. The cars at this time not only produced hair raising performance, but also were a lush lap of luxury. This made driving more and more enjoyable experience every single time. But on the other hand, there was a risk of over enjoyment too that often made the driver loose his concentration and end up in a disaster due to lack of concentration in driving. But over seeing the negatives and neglecting the hypothetical analysis, we tend to enjoy the lighter side of life and give a treat to our senses by still plugging on the music while out on the roads.
Apart from mere enjoyment, playing music while driving has a few advantages too. Music often comes handy to those drivers who drive long, and often get tried during the long transit. This is really a boon to the truckers on freeways and the pitiable taxi drivers who struggle daily in the mind boggling daily city traffic. Moreover, the radio these days often gives hourly forecast on city traffic and thus helps them to reach their destinations soon, avoiding all traffic jams. This is really a boon to developing countries, as they neither have the GPS technology, nor the ITPD technology to find their easy way out rush hour traffic. Currently, the market is flooded with all sorts of car audio gadgetry, ranging from MP3 players, USB players, CD- DVD combo drives that can even play movies on the go, and our very own loyal partner-the radio cassette player. All we have to do now is to wait and watch what the future will give us in the near future.
