How to get the VA Loan:
First you should visit a lender. While VA cannot recommend a specific lender, one should start with the bank or credit union with you are currently doing business. Another option is that to ask friends or relatives for a recommendation. To get a list of lenders that do business in your location you should visit the VA E-Lenders nationwide query.
The lender can get a VA Certificate of Eligibility online otherwise you can request a certificate directly from VA.
The next step for you to is to find a home. Once you have found a property, the lender will order a VA appraisal (determination of value of property) and walk you though the closing process but it depending
on market conditions. It often takes a couple of days but in some cases it may take several weeks.
