The Boston Bruin is the professional ice hockey team. They are based in Boston, Massachusetts. They play in the National Hockey League. They are part of Eastern conference with Northeast division.
History of Boston Bruins:
The Boston Bruin was established in 1924. The first game was played on December 1; 1924.It was the first National Hockey League team. Initially the team was weak and lost 24 out of 30 matches it played. But they improved quickly and team won first of five Stanley cup in 1929. In 1939 the Bruins won their second Championship with Shore as the captain. In 1940 Milt Schmidt became the star player and led the team towards Stanley Cup Victory. Later he became coach for the team.
Bobby Orr is considered to be best player as a defenseman. He was known for its lightening speed and offensive artistry. His reign from 1960-70 is considered as the Golden Era of Boston Bruins.
In 1979 Ray Borque joined the team.He served the team for 21 brilliant years. He had served number 77. Till date 11 numbers have been retired.
